New Rates and Thresholds 2017-2018

We are currently running our final weekly and monthly payrolls for the current tax year 2016-2017 and have already started the payroll year end process for our clients.

National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage 1st April 2017

From the 1st April 2017 the National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage will increase to the following hourly rates:


Workers aged 25 and over will be entitled to 7.50 per hour.
21 to 24 years; rate will increase to 7.05 per hour.
18 to 20 years; rate will increase to 5.60 per hour
Under 18; rate will increase to 4.05 per hour
Apprentices will be entitled to 3.50 per hour.


Please note Apprentices aged 19 or over who have completed at least one year of their apprenticeship are entitled to receive the full national minimum wage rate applicable to their age.
